Sustainable Development
"Sustainable Development." These days you can barely turn around without hearing or reading the term. But what exactly does it mean?
You might assume it relates to processes involved in building and construction. However, the term "sustainable development" represents a broad
concept that, in a most simplified term, refers to meeting the needs of people while maintaining a balance in the environment.
The concept covers meeting economic, environmental and
social needs of people without hurting anyone or anything in the
process, especially the Earth.
The concept of developing sustainably was created and
named by The World Commission on Environment and Development in 1987.
Since it's conception, these ideals became a major focus in the 1990s and blossomed into the present time.
The many facets to Sustainable Development include:

- FOOD SERVICE SAFETY
- FOOD-BORN ILLNESSES
- DAIRY & MEAT FARMING
What is sustainable development? While it affects building expansion and construction, it is so much more. The foregoing gives you a broad idea of the subjects covered by the concept of sustainability for both the environment and all living things.
